Recipe Highlights
- These brownies are so simple to make with simple ingredients!
- They have the perfect rich and fudgy texture and make the ultimate decadent brownie.
- Caramel bits in the batter add even more delicious flavor and texture!
Ingredient Notes
- Unsalted Butter: using unsalted butter lets you control how much salt you want to use to balance the flavor of the brownies. It is also used to add creaminess to the brownie glaze and to help it set.
- Granulated Sugar: sweetens the brownies and gives them a crisp texture on the tops.
- Eggs: use large eggs they are fundamental to achieving the fudgy texture.
- Vanilla Extract: adds to the depth of flavor in the recipe.
- Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: use a good quality cocoa for the best flavor.
- All-Purpose Flour: the amount of flour in the recipe gives structure but still maintains a delicious fudgy texture.
- Salt: balances the sweetness of the brownies and the ganache.
- Caramel-Toffee Bits: add more buttery flavor and crunch. I use these
- Rainbow Sprinkles: make these brownies perfect for celebrating special events!
- Semisweet Chocolate Chips: semisweet chocolate for the glaze is ideal because it balances the sweetness of the brownies and caramel toffee bits.
- Corn Syrup (Optional): is optional but highly recommended for a beautiful glossy, shiny finish on the brownie glaze.
How to Make Sprinkle Brownies
- 1 - Add the wet and dry ingredients to a large bowl and mix until smooth.
- 2- Sprinkle in the caramel toffee bits.
- 3- Bake brownies in a parchment lined pan and be careful not to overbake!
- 4- Prepare chocolate glaze and evenly spread over the cooled brownie base.
- 5- Add sprinkles of the glaze.
- 6- Once the glaze has set, slice brownies with a sharp knife.
Tips for making the best Brownies with Sprinkles
- Try not to overmix the brownies.
- Do not overbake these brownies or you will lose the incredible fudginess! Look for moist crumbs during the toothpick test, not wet batter.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before frosting with the glaze.
- Add sprinkles immediately after spreading the glaze before it sets.
- For clean slices, use a sharp knife and wipe it between cuts.
Storage & Reheating
- Store the brownies at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Keep the brownies in refrigerated for up to a week. Just let them come to room temperature before serving. Although, I love them cold too!
- Freeze the brownies (without the glaze) in a single layer in a freezer bag for up to 3 months. Thaw and glaze before serving.

Sprinkle Brownies
Ingredients
For the Brownies
- ¾ cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup caramel-toffee bits
- ¼ cup rainbow sprinkles
For the Glaze
- ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup optional, for shine
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- Melt the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.
- Combine the melted butter and sugar with a wooden spoon, mixing until smooth and fully incorporated. Add the beaten eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
- Sift the cocoa powder, flour, and salt into the wet mixture. Stir just until combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the caramel-toffee bits gently until evenly distributed in the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with an offset spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs, but not wet batter. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Prepare the glaze by melting the chocolate chips and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler. Stir in the corn syrup until well combined.
- Spread the chocolate glaze over the cooled brownies evenly with an offset spatula.
- Add the rainbow sprinkles generously over the top while the glaze is still wet.
- Let the glaze set before slicing and serving the brownies. Enjoy!
