    • Stir constantly while melting to prevent the butter from separating. If it starts to split, whisk vigorously until smooth.
    • Make sure the marshmallow mixture is fully smooth before adding cereal. Avoid folding cereal into a greasy mixture.
    • Let the melted marshmallow mixture cool slightly before adding Lucky Charms to help prevent color bleed from the marshmallows.
    • Do not press the mixture too firmly into the pan. Light pressure keeps them soft and chewy.
    • For clean slices, lightly butter your knife before cutting.

    Recipe Variations

    • Use only Lucky Charms for an even more colorful treat.
    • Add pastel sprinkles for Easter or green sprinkles for St. Patrick’s Day.
    • Drizzle with milk or dark chocolate instead of white chocolate.
    • Cut into fun shapes using cookie cutters for party platters.

    Recipe Substitutions

    • Use unsalted butter and add a slightly larger pinch of salt if needed.
    • Swap vanilla extract for almond extract for a different flavor profile.
    • Use dairy-free butter if preferred.

    Storage Tips

Store Lucky Charms Rice Krispie Treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Place parchment between layers to prevent sticking. For longer storage, wrap tightly in plastic.
