This Easy Oreo Pizza Recipe uses premade chocolate chip cookie dough topped with homemade cream cheese frosting and chopped Oreos. The cream cheese frosting adds a tangy flavor that balances out the sweetness of the cookie base and Oreos.
1package chocolate chip cookie doughI used Pillsbury Chocolate chunk
¼cupunsalted butter
4ouncescream cheeseroom temperature
¼cupconfectioners sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
pinchof salt
1 ½cupsof chopped Oreo Cookiesabout 12 Oreos
Instructions
To begin, preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Press the cookie dough into a 12-inch tart or pizza pan and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Once baked, remove the cookie dough from the oven and allow it to cool.
While the cookie cools, prepare the cream cheese frosting by creaming together the cream cheese and butter in a medium mixing bowl until light and fluffy, which should take about 1-2 minutes on medium speed with an electric mixer. Next, add the confectioners sugar, vanilla, and salt, and beat until combined and smooth, starting on low speed and then adjusting to medium-high.
Chop the Oreos on a cutting board and set them aside.
Add some of the cream cheese frosting to the center of the cooled cookie pizza and spread it out evenly using an offset spatula. Continue adding frosting until you have a nice, even layer, leaving a 1-inch border around the edge to give it a more pizza-like appearance.
Sprinkle the chopped Oreos over the cream cheese frosting. Chill the pizza in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, then slice with a pizza cutter into 8 equal pieces or 16 if you prefer smaller slices. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
To prepare this ahead of time, you can bake and cool the cookie and store it in the fridge. When you are ready to serve, allow it to come to room temperature and top with the chopped Oreos.
If you prefer homemade cookie dough, keep an eye on the baking time as it may vary.
For storage, wrap the pizza tightly with saran wrap and it will keep well in the refrigerator for up to a week, although the Oreos may lose their crispness.
If you're making this recipe with kids, it's a great idea to have them help with the process. They can press the dough into the pan while you make the cream cheese frosting, and then they can sprinkle on the chopped Oreos after they've been chopped. It's a fun and easy way to get the whole family involved in the kitchen!
